Remembering the AAD Breakfast Run (Hout Bay)
Article by Byron
In my opinion this could be one of my favorite
runs that I've experienced with the club. The weather for the day was perfect, the
attendance was amazing and a few "new" cars & drivers attended. The route we chose took us
through scenic parts of Table Mountain with amazing views via Rhodes
Drive.
We had the NISMO Group rolling with for the
day. Their club is mostly based on Skylines GTX's and different Nissan
Models... Great guys with great cars... always supporting All About Datsun. But let us let the pictures do some of the talking! ;-)
Skyline GTX shining bright! Many a boy's dream! Much respect! |
Fabian vd Wal's BRE styled GX. Car has been sold since the run - hope the new owner appreciates such a beaut! |
Wade's Sti meets Clive's BIN! |
Off to Hout Bay! We met up at Kenilworth Mall, via the M5 onto Rhodes Drive and Hout Bay Road. Datsun in motion looks good, hmm? |
NISMO Group will make many a head turn. Don't you wish you had one? |
Evil grinning 510 always had a menacing look to them, especially without their chrome bumpers! |
Legend Wayne Johnson's 160Z always looks its best! |
Nick's Skyline RB26DETT always a topic of discussion on ANY DAY! |
A Hendricks super clean Datsun - he owned it for 17 years - sadly he sold it to a close friend recently. |
Zain Stellenboom's 510 and Adrian Fisher's 1200 looking HOT! |
Ganief Creighton's RB25DET powered Skyline GTX. He and Nick "measured"each other on the M5! |
Wouldn't YOU smile if you we're riding in such a beauty? |
Sti looking a bit lonely... |
Darren's BLACK 510 always shining. I heard its had a total interior overhaul during the winter. Can't wait to see that! |
Jason Moses' 510 alongside my ride. |
What dreams are made of - 2.8 HEAVEN! |
Moegamat Salie (G-man) shirt had a few guys laughing. We do love the saying Bra G! LOL! |
Many a street racer can testify trying to catch-up to taillights like these! |
Not sure what this kid is saying. Probably very impressed with the samples of rides! |
This can be one of my favourite pictures of the day. Not everyday you see a few of these together. |
Byron Peters 1400 UTE had it first outing after respray and new wheels. Looks the part hey? |
Sidney Mesias Coupe screaming "LOOK AT ME!" |
After leaving HoutBay a few of the guys decided to visit a Show 'n Shine Event. |
Datsun's getting some "Model"attention! |
I would just like say a Special
Thanks to the all the guys and girls for attending these AAD Events. You make the AAD Movement worth it. Also to Skippy Photography for the beautiful images and Wade Erasmus for assisting with moving shots with his car.
ALL ABOUT DATSUN - Its a way of life!
