Remembering: AAD Charity Run - Part 2

AAD - All About Datsun - Charity Run (part 2)
Article by Byron Anthony Smith

So we were on our way to Stellenbosch - we had arranged a 2nd meet-up at a train station in Stellenbosch. There were members from the area waiting for us to show us the way to the children's home - the main reason for our trip.

From left Moegamat Salie (G man), Kyle Moses with his pink 69 510 and Çarlo August with green 510.
They were waiting to welcome us to Stellenbosch.

A break down occurred - a wheel stud that broke off. Thanks to Brendon Morkel  and Frans that assisted in getting it fixed as good as new. This was real a team effort with guys bringing out tools jacks and even wheel studs.

All lined up, wheel stud fixed - Ready to leave for the Children's Home

On arrival at the childrens home we were joined by two more local datsuns from Stellenbosch.
This is Hugh Jumat with his 510 Coupe.
This is car that I had the pleasure of seeing it in bare shall to getting 2.8 transplant, a color change and to what you see here. The owner when the event was held was Hein Aderndof was sold few months afterwards.

What a sight - Datsun's gleaming in the sun

After the miscommunication at the childrens home we decided to give our donations to a hospice in Stellenbosch where we had chance to do a owner and ride shoot - the pictures will available soon.

The person that assisted in finding the hospice in a hurry - Mr Ryan Moses

The ladies keeping out of the sun - it was a really hot day

Jason Moses 510 can be one of the cleanest we have in the club - its a very neat car with low mileage.

It was time to relax and enjoy the rest of the day at Jonkershoek. This is picnic site in the mountains gave us a chance braai, socialize and of course take some more pictures.

A solitary U - were glad it could attend - a very neat car!
This could be one of my favorite picture of the day makes me appreciate the beauty of the Datsun.

We ended the day with a Group shoot

This Group picture even ended up in a local newspaper!!

Thanks to Justin Vlam Abrahams and John McKay for the pictures!
