All About Datsun - We're about family. And at times families have to look out for one another. On Sunday 07 December 2014 a few AAD Members got together to visit Sive Nathi Care Centre in Blackheath.

Sive Nathi is an Non-Profit Organisation who cares for physically disabled children, aged between 1 & 18, with Muscular Dystrophy. The NPO is dependent on donations and through various donations bought two (2) adjacent houses and with their staff cater for these children on a permanent basis, for all their needs. As expected, the needs of this NPO is extensive. All About Datsun would like to get involved wherever assistance is needed.

Oom (uncle) Chris

Oom (uncle) Chris. A local Datsun legend. A man whois always available to give a helping hand, advice, a spare part or two, and offer his Datsun as transport to a few special people. This is a "Thank You" from everyone for what you've done for us all at All About Datsun!

Spring Fever Run, Zeekoeivlei (06-Sept-14)

All About Datsun finally shook off the Winter Blues with their first run (meet 'n greet / bring 'n braai) on 6th of September 2014 - The Spring Fever Run. Guys were eager to attend, but last minute changes (and the weather) caused some issues.

Spring Fever Meet&Greet, Zeekoeivlei

Its Sping time! Spring Fever is upon us! Time to dust off the covers and polish your rides again as we get ready for another Meet 'n Greet this coming Saturday, 06 September 2014. We're planning to goto Zeekoeivlei for an awesome day of DATSUN talks, car viewing, picture taking, get to knowing, ALL THINGS DATSUN.

AAD Datsun 510 Day (Part 1)

May 10th signifies DATSUN 510 amongst the owners. Its a day where we commemorate the P510 Datsun - and we try to get our rides out on the road that specific day. All About DATSUN decided to celebrate the day with an open invitation to any car enthusiast to come along for a drive/cruize through Stellenbosch, Helshoogte, Franshhoek, Theewaterskloofdam, Grabouw & Sir Lowry's Pass.

AllAboutDATSUN is proud to invite all of its members and other car enthusiasts (in and around Cape Town) on a scenic cruize on DATSUN 510 Day - on May the 10th 2014 - ALL rides welcome! The idea is to enjoy our rides on an enjoyable and pleasant drive with like minded individuals. We plan frequent stops to take in the views, take a few pictures to commemorate the day and just to talk all things Datsun!

Its always great to see a Datsun where you least expect it. I took a mundane family trip earlier today and spotted this beauty parked in Soneike, and I had to make a fool of myself to make the time and introduce myself... Luckily I've talked to the owner before - and of course I've seen that ride on many a run and shoot before... So the decision was easy... make the time, meet the owner, take some snaps. This is what I came up with. And to think - she looks even better up close - and the owner isn't too bad a guy either! :-) Sorry Donny!

All About Datsun's first event for 2014 is a Family Day at Zandvlei Recreational Park, out in Muizenberg. We're looking forward to seeing everyone again, meet some new people and their rides, having an awesome day and outlining the year ahead for the AAD Movement for 2014.

In my opinion this could be one of my favorite runs that I've experienced with the club. The weather for the day was perfect, the attendance was amazing and a few "new" cars & drivers attended. The route we chose took us through scenic parts of Table Mountain with amazing views via Rhodes Drive.

All About Datsun was invited to invade Hermanus during the Hermanus Whale Festival on Saturday, 21 September 2013 - participating in an annual Wheels 'n Whales Classic Car Show. As part of AAD's participation the local Nissan dealer planned to release the new Datsun and/or the new Nissan Sentra. However due to a very rainy week prior to the event, no display space was available per the Classic Car Show.

Update: Hermanus Whale Run

Hey there AAD Family,

We're getting closer to the Hermanus Whale Run planned for Saturday, 21 September 2013. Now is the time to answer some of those questions you have been wanting to ask...



First off, a large portion of the group plan to meet at 6:00am at the Engen 1-Stop on the N2 on the morning of the run. This group will leave the 1-Stop at 06:30am to try and avoid the chaos in traffic. We plan to meet up with a second group leaving from Wellington / Paarl / Stellenbosch through Somerset West, perhaps just before taking the Sir Lowry's Pass.

Second, the Whales 'n Wheels Classic Car Show will be held at Hermanus Primary School. It is located in the centre of Hermanus, just off Main Street (C/O Royal 'n Impala Streets).

Third: The Whales 'n Wheels Classic Car Show plans to run from 09:00 - 17:00 (with Gates opening at 07:00 for participants). The organisers expect in about 250+ vintage and classic cars, with many new vehicles from various Hermanus Car Dealers - the new Datsun will also be released on the day, now "National Nissan Day." The school hall will host an exhibition of scale model cars, radio controlled helicopters and Dream Trains from Bloemfontein. Not forgetting a selection of vehicles in a parade through Hermanus at 10:00 to give the public a sneak view of what's on display at the Show.

Lastly: There'll be live music, variety of food stalls and something to keep the whole family entertained. For non-participants, Entry fee is R20 for adults, and all children under 12years accompanied by a paying adult will be free.

So let's go and show Hermanus and its visitors what ALL ABOUT DATSUN is all about!
